R. Shaw
James R. Shaw obtained his degree from Midwestern State University
(B.B.A., magna cum laude, 1978). Mr. Shaw is a Certified Public
Accountant and frequent speaker on current issues in accounting
and tax matters. He is a member of the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the Texas Society
of Public Accountants.
Mr. Shaw has over 25 years experience in accounting, auditing,
and tax management advisory services. As head of the auditing
department for a major Texas bank, his responsibilities included
operations, audit, and coordination of tax and accounting
issues with other banks. Prior to associating with the firm,
he was partner-in-charge of a regional public accounting firm
in Dallas.

Among
Mr. Shaw’s many services to clients are appearances
before regulatory authorities for tax issues, tax and financial
planning and management of all tax and compliance filing requirements
for Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Shaw
has also provided litigation support services including expert
testimony in numerous bankruptcy, Federal and state courts.
Mr. Shaw has practical hands on experience in providing tax
and consulting services to a wide range of industries including
airlines, telecommunications, transportation, health, law,
education, manufacturing, insurance, non-profit organizations,
retail and wholesale.
